Jenks Restorative Dentistry

Jenks Restorative Dentistry

We are proud to offer a wide range of dentistry services at Hopper Dental. From general dentistry services such as routine cleanings and exams to more complex cosmetic dentistry services, we aspire to provide our patients with access to the dental care they deserve. One area of dentistry that we find especially beneficial is restorative dentistry.

The primary goal of any restorative dentistry procedure is to restore the mouth in both function and aesthetics. With restorative dentistry, this is done by preserving as much of the natural tooth as possible.

What is Restorative Dentistry?

Restorative dentistry is an area of dental care that focuses on restoring your mouth to optimal condition by preserving your natural tooth. This is favored over removing your natural tooth for a number of reasons. Some of the benefits of restorative dentistry include cost-efficacy, tooth structure and function, and overall oral health, to name a few. There are many dental procedures that may fall under the umbrella of restorative dentistry, many of which we specialize in at Hopper Dental.

Types of Restorative Dentistry

Using restorative dentistry procedures, we are able to repair damaged, worn, decaying, or even missing teeth. In doing so, we provide you with a smile that is both healthy and beautiful! Restorative dental procedures generally fall under one of two categories: direct and indirect. A few examples of common restorative dentistry procedures include the following:

  • Fillings
  • Dental Crowns
  • Bridges
  • Dental Implants
  • Inlays & Onlays

Direct Restorative Dentistry

A direct restorative dental procedure is one where we are able to restore a tooth immediately. The most common example of this is dental fillings. With a filling, we restore a tooth that has a cavity, allowing your tooth to remain healthy and eliminating the growth of the dental cavity.

Indirect Restorative Dentistry

Indirect restorative dental procedures are often much more involved. Some examples of this type of service may include dental crowns, bridges, inlays, or onlays. With this type of dental procedure, you will likely need to visit our office multiple times before the procedure is complete. Indirect restorative dentistry uses fabricated material to mimic the natural tooth. This allows you to keep the portion of the tooth that remains healthy.
